3005 CCR

 1. The music video represents teenagers hanging out in the holidays and going out. It shows Brianna and jack going out to a fair and having a good time. Teenagers are social and are always out of the house and this video captures it perfectly. In today's society, people act differently, but this portrays a stereotypical event for teens. It shows them enjoying life and living in the moment relaxing. For teens, the holidays can have some stress with midterms as an obstacle. Yet the video does not capture issues, the group is covers is more young people enjoying the time while it lasts. 2. The genre of music flows best with teenagers and college students. Winter break is highly anticipated for most as it's a time to relax and spend time with friends and family. The audience for the product is people just like the ones in the video. The social group of teenagers is very diverse but at heart, they all want to enjoy a vacation. Since Jack and Brianna are on break they take a trip do

Cant Break Our stride!

Today is the day, thsi project is on the final step. The black circle was removed and we slowed down a shot to hit the time. After all that panicking and misfortune, we can see the finish line. Next is just the ccr which also counts as our midterm. All the complications and we finished strong. From car malfunctions to covid this project has been a rollercoaster. It is not done just yet but the finishing touches should just make it all that better. The time was close but we ended up getting it right. And no matter how awkward it felt to film it looked good in the end. However, we need to stop doing time-sensitive filming as it is a pain each time. The sunset in Florida is beautiful but it added complications like after the sun sets. Jack stepped up and took the main role, saving it all. and randys editing took the weight off Me and Brianna as she acted all day and I planned shots, storyboarded, and filmed. Everyone did their part and it's all on the way up. The original plan was ja

A series of unfortunate events

The filming was done, now came the editing. Due to missing the shoot randy offered to edit which made my life 10 times easier and was a big help. The covid, the fair closure, and the breakdown lead to this. He has a little over a week which is great as last time we lacked in editing. But while that is being done I am more focusing on the blogs and other classes. Midterms start next week and that's when this project ends. I offered help to randy if he needs it as editing can be stressful. Chemistry is starting to get the better of me and my focus is starting to shift. Media is a fun class but I have an upcoming test that will decide if I pass or fail. Time doesn't stop and the years go by, even when not focusing on this project it is nearing without us realizing it. This snowball effect hasn't stopped all pushing the project back. I was responsible for filming and looking back it could have been better. Through all the stress I forgot a transition shot and didn't get a s

A slight filming disaster

I thought it was all done. But it is never that simple. Jack and I arrived a bit early and got in line. Later Brianna joined us, the fair opened and the line started moving. After checking in we realized we need to wait for randy for our opening scene so we did just that. Fast forward half an hour and he messages us his car broke down on the highway. I thought it couldn't get any worse but I was simply wrong. The main character is out and we can't reschedule to film. Jack has to take over the role and scenes change in a flash. After all the waiting we don't have time for an opening scene and shift it to a walkout of the park to finish. Also since it was dark filming on a ride was a no-go. So we try to extend the shots and work with what we got. Come to the big Ferris wheel scene they ask us for a group. We so happen to be put in a pod with people making filming difficult and id be lying if it wasn't awkward. And to end it off the final scene we moved ended up being one

THE PLAN IS A GO

Tomorrow is the day, this film will be finished. The shots are ready, rides are arranged and the camera is ready. I am ready for this project to be behind me and focus on the final task. Since our ccr is our midterm it makes things a bit better, but after I film and Brianna edits this semester is a wrap. Since it is a long driver and needs the highway I'm getting a ride from my family and picking up jack. Since the drive home is a bit over an hour they will just find something to do in the area. I hope to finish filing at 8 so I'm home before 10 as the next day I do have work. But as this project has shown me I cannot bank on anything so I'm not expecting to be home early. 12 shots with transitions shouldn't take too long but its best to have extra film than not enough. In the beginning, we have to be fast dealing with the sun. We made the same mistake with our beach commercial but we did it once and it can be done again. As Christmas is around the corner it will be a

Covid came back

Well... It never ends. Sadly, a few days before filming one of the main characters Brianna, her dad tested positive for covid shutting down filming. This project is almost due so that leaves only 2 days open to film on the 10th or 11th. But on the 10th I work and Brianna has a debate tournament giving us one day to make it. Luckily our place of filming gives lighting and all of our props being less we have to worry about. It is just inconvenient and is a time crunch. It gives us about a week to edit which is ok and all but less time to perfect and work on our blogs. I felt terrible about it all though. After returning from a trip, I tested positive and gave my whole family covid. My grandfather, I spread it too as well, who is immune compromised so I really felt with Brianna as covid is still a scary thing. It derails everything and quarantine is a pain. So far this project has been the most complicated thing in my sophomore year of high school. Everything has failed and it's gett

A little hiccup...

This weekend was the plan to film our project and everyone was ready. come today we found out it I closing down so we must find a new location. I suggested a place in Miami called Santas enchanted forest. It is a huge fair held during the holiday season with rides, games, shows, and food. Brianna has a schedule we all work around with her having debate and randy and I have jobs so on certain days we are all not available. We plan to film this weekend but still have to clear it with everyone. Midterms are on the way so I like to spend my free time studying and this project is just work to do on top of it. So far it has been more complicated than the commercial by a mile and filming has not even begun. On the bright side, I have found some shots. The first shot will be a 3 shot at a low angle then panning from walking to a wide shot of the fair. Then a shot following the actors walking up to the carnival game and a 2 shot of him playing with the girl. after a medium close-up of Randy'
