The images of the actors as their names were displayed was prioritized. This was common throughout the entire title sequence.

They seem very positive and happy. It matches each of the characters' personalities to give a preview to who they are and how they contribute to the film. This is very effective in introducing the actors.

4. How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? 

It previews some of the elements of the genre. Starting with the dialogue, it matched that of the film. Much of it implied and foreshadowed the later events that would come in the film

This film in particular has a specific format in how the title sequence presents the movie in each of the films in the series. Within this title sequence, we see how this is followed thus appealing to it's target audience.
