Music video research

  Since this is a music video the first thing we need to do is look into how they are made along with some examples. I think it is important to look at what others have created to see what we can do. It is also very helpful when planning our own project. Hopefully one of these videos will give us a good idea.  The first music video I watched was 3005 by Childish Gambino. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG35R8F2j8k I love the fair theme. The video mainly takes place on a Ferris Wheel with a stuffed bear next to him. He casually sings the song while gazing at the view. The video was very simple yet beautifully made. You can see all the lights and colors from the fairgrounds. Music video storyboard

  Scene 1: As a group, all the subjects exit the car. This introduces the setting. Scene 2: They walk up to the carnival again just to add some foundation. Scene 3: The male subject loses the first game. It;s just to add some comedy. It's usual to lose at games. Makes it relatable.  Scene 4: All the subjects are playing around and joking. This shows the teenage experience of just having fun and joking around. This is standard for any teenage film.  Scene 5: The group is walking up to another game. This foreshadows future events.  Scene 6:  This shows the group on the ride having a good time. Again just showing the fun experience. Scene 7: At the fair, the couple is planning to get food. We want to put funnel cake. This is an iconic food for the fair setting. And it's big enough to share.  Scene 8: We want the couple to feed each other. This displays their intimacy and showcases their romance. It is a common yet cute scene incorporated in many love stories. ...

Back for another!

   Hey, it's me sean again and I am back for my second project! I had so much fun filming our commercial, so now its time for a music video.  I have always loved filming and editing and this class just spiked my interest. In this blog, I will be showing my journey of learning about film and displaying it in projects throughout the year. I have been tuning my editing and filming skills and now its the next step. A commercial is going to put it to the test. Last time I did not edit and only filmed but this time I hope to edit as I find it fun. I have always loved computers and I ended up building my own. It was a long process but it taught me a tremendous amount and saved me money.  I use my phone and a gimble to film, its basic but works for the task I need. I am a little hesitant on this project as its during the holidays which are hectic. And we started not even 4 days ago and a hurricane cancelled school for 2 days.
