Welcome!

     Hey, I'm sean halfpenny and I am a Sophomore student taking AS Media Studies! I have always loved filming and editing and this class just spiked my interest. In this blog, I will be showing my journey of learning about film and displaying it in projects throughout the year. I am Peruvian and Irish and love to travel, hence I end up taking photos of everything I see. My favorite place I have visited was Venice. The fact that I know Spanish made communication so much easier so I could fully enjoy the city. And out of the 10 days I spent in Europe in 4 different cities Venice was the best. My entire life is about animals, currently, I have two dogs, Callie and Brandy. Callie is the oldest at four years old while Brandy is only two. I used to have a dog named Lucky who passed away at the age of six. I have always been fond of Hungarian Vizslas as they are the same breed my father grew up with. Eventually, I decided to try something new and get a German shorthair pointer. Yet I missed the dog we had always growing up with so my family decided on getting another. I even owned an exotic hedgehog at one time. Dipper is the name I came to as I was obsessed with a show called gravity falls which ended up being the first animated television show I ever finished. Tv was a privilege when I was younger so I would cherish the small amount of time I had. One of my favorite shows was doctor who but an Episode was too long to watch during my daily time. I would say If I could only do 2 things for the rest of my life it would be watching Television and touring the world. It makes sense why I love cameras and other technology. This class called to me and I am super excited to start this blog journey!

1. What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? In total there were 21 different title cards in the title sequence. The first 3 were the production companies involved, Fox, Paramount and MTV. The next few were all of the main actors in the movie. Following them was the most important production crew members including the production composer, editor, and designer. Lastly, the executive producer ended with the directors' title card. 2. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  The images prioritized are common schoolday items like a lunch meal and a book from the library paper for taking notes in class. And even a school lunch is used to introduce people and the staff. It also covers a typical meal for some with breakfast, a snack, and a lunch meal all being included in the opening credits. Some bright ideas

Hey guys, we are back from break and planning continues. This film is unlike any work from last year and it is setting in. Jackson and sean are juniors who have a lot going on. while Sean D is a senior ready to get his diploma which is his last credit and ours too.  Unlike last year it is simpler as our location is right by Jackson's house, it's a forest park where we can film and use the natural setting. We plan to try and start production in mid-February and get ahead of it as junior year is busy but you never know. Our backup time is right after the school SAT as we would no longer worry about that. Jackson and Sean are the main actors along with one of his neighbors which is undecided yet who will act as the victim found in our thriller. Being in a natural environment people can be at risk so finding a safe section without wild animals is a must.
